We are currently looking to fill a Shop Help position with a Company: the ideal candidate will be willing to train on multiple manufacturing positions such as machinist and shipping/receiving or even welding. We are looking for dependable, extremely motivated individuals who are ready to learn and grow into leaders in their field with a major local company.
Our client is an industrial manufacturer that makes hardware and installation components for the refractory industry. The refractory industry is responsible for most every piece of metal we use and most forms of energy you enjoy at home or at work. If you want to be part of the underpinning of our entire economy, get in on the ground floor of this growing company.
Shift: 1st, Monday – Friday
Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Overtime Some Possible
Starting Pay: $13 – $14 per hour, depending on experience
Shop Help Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Recent Voc-Tech graduate or recent manufacturing experience preferred
- Excellent math and measurement skills (will be tested)
- Willing to learn new job responsibilities and equipment
- Detail and safety oriented, able to carefully and quickly follow instructions
Shop Help Requirements/Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and reliability a must
- Self-starter who takes initiative and finds work to be done
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds and stand, stoop, or reach throughout shift.
Climate Controlled Facility? No
Safety Equipment Required: Safety Glasses, Workboots or Steel Toes, earplugs will be provided
Required Education Level: Diploma/GED
