This policy explains what information Barracuda Staffing & Consulting collects through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

The short version

• We collect what you send us, like job applications, resumes and messages. We also collect basic facts about visits to our site.
• We use it to find you work, answer you, and run our business.
• We share applicant information with employers who may hire you, and with companies that help us. They are listed below.
• We do not sell your information.
• You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your information.

Who we are

Barracuda Staffing & Consulting is a staffing and HR consulting company at 802 W Main St, Suite 105, Jenks, OK 74037. This policy covers barracudastaffing.com and the information you give us through it.

What we collect

When you apply for a job or send a resume

• Your name, phone number, email address and home address.
• The job you want, your work history, your education and your resume.
• Your answers to a few questions: whether you can work in the US, whether you are 18 or older, and whether you have been convicted of a felony.
• An emergency contact, and references you choose to list. We may contact your references.
• How you heard about us.
• Your typed signature, the certification you agreed to, and the date and time you signed.

When you send us a message

Your name, company if you give one, email or phone number, the topic, and your message.

With every form

The date and time, the page you sent it from, your browser type, and a scrambled code made from your internet address. The code is one-way, so it can't be turned back into your address. We use it to stop spam and abuse.

From other people

Your references and past employers, when you list them. Employers you interview with may tell us how it went. If you agree to a background check or drug test, we get the results. See Background checks.

How we use it

• To consider you for jobs, and to call or email you about jobs and interviews.
• To present you to employers who may hire you.
• To check the facts on your application, with your permission.
• To answer your messages and requests.
• To keep our site working, safe and free of spam, and to see which pages help people.
• To meet our legal duties, like keeping hiring records.

Matching with the help of AI

When you apply, our system uses an AI tool to help our recruiters see how your work history fits the job. Before the tool reads anything, we remove your name and contact details. The tool only makes suggestions. A person reviews them, and a person makes every decision about you.

Who we share it with

• Employers who may hire you. We share your resume and application details with companies we may place you with. We may share a version without your name and contact details first. We may give your phone number or email to an employer so they can interview you, or give you a test or assessment.
• Background check and drug testing companies, only with your permission.
• Our applicant tracking system, where our staff keep candidate records.
• Companies that run our website and email:
  • The company that builds and hosts this website and our applicant system, on servers in the United States.
  • Google, for our email, site measurement, maps and fonts.
  • Cloudflare, for our domain and the spam check on our forms.
  • Resend, which delivers form emails to our staff.
  • Anthropic, whose AI helps with matching. It gets your work history without your name or contact details. It does not use your information to train its AI.
• When the law requires it, like a court order, or to protect someone's safety.
• If our business is sold or merged, the new owner would keep this policy's promises.

We do not sell your information, and no one pays us for it.

Cookies and tracking

This is every tool on our site that collects information about visits.

• Google Tag Manager (Google). It loads Google Analytics on our pages. It collects nothing of its own.
• Google Analytics (Google). It counts visits and pages, and shows how people found us, like a search, a link or an ad. It also records your city, device and browser, and three actions: tapping our phone number, sending a contact form and sending a job application, with the job's title. It uses cookies named _ga and _ga_6T8GX6Q0Y4, which last up to two years. Google does not store your internet address. We keep Google's detailed records for two months. Google Signals, which links visits to Google accounts, is off.
• Google Ads (Google). Our Analytics is linked to our Google Ads account. This shows us which ads work, and it lets us show our ads to people who visited our site. Google uses cookies, including its own, to do this. Our account also lets Google use the data to improve its own products.
• Our own visit counter. It counts views of each page, which website sent each visit, taps on Apply buttons, and the words typed into our site search. It uses no cookies, keeps no internet addresses, and can't tell who you are. It keeps daily totals only.
• Spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile). On our forms, it checks that a person, not a robot, is sending them. To do that it looks at your browser, your device and your internet address.
• Google Fonts (Google). It delivers the lettering our site uses. Google sees your internet address and browser when it does. It sets no cookies.
• LinkedIn feed (SociableKit and LinkedIn). It shows our latest LinkedIn posts on our home page. These companies may set cookies and see your internet address and browser.
• Google Map (Google). It shows our office on our home page. Google may set cookies.
• Server logs. Our web servers record each request: the internet address, time, page, browser and the page you came from. We use them for security and to fix problems, and delete them after about three weeks.
• Staff sign-in. Our staff use a sign-in cookie in the staff part of the site. Visitors never get it.
• Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. They show us how our site appears in search results. They place nothing on your device.

Apart from the Google tools above, we don't use advertising pixels, like Facebook's or LinkedIn's, and we don't record your screen.

Your choices

• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works.
• Google's opt-out add-on stops Google Analytics: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• You can turn off personalized Google ads at myadcenter.google.com.
• Our site does not yet respond to "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals from browsers.

Background checks and drug tests

Some jobs need a background check, a driving record check, a drug test or a physical. We only run one with your permission, and we follow the laws that apply to these checks. With your permission, we may share the results with the employer offering you the job.

How long we keep it

• Applications and resumes in our applicant system: one year, then they are deleted. Federal rules ask employers to keep hiring records for one year.
• Messages from our contact forms: 180 days.
• Files that are uploaded but never sent: two days.
• Server logs: about three weeks.
• Copies in our email and applicant tracking system: only as long as we need them to consider you for jobs and to meet legal requirements.

How we protect it

• Every page and form uses an encrypted connection.
• Only our staff and the service providers who run our systems can see applications. Each staff member sees what their job needs.
• Staff sign in with passkeys or one-time links, and every action in our applicant system is logged.
• No system is perfectly safe. If a breach puts your information at risk, we will tell you as Oklahoma law requires, and tell the Oklahoma Attorney General when the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• Show you the information we have about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your information. We may keep what the law requires us to keep.
• Stop contacting you about jobs.

We will check that the request comes from you, and we will answer within 45 days. If we say no, you can ask us to look again, and we will explain our answer. Using these rights will never count against you.

Children

Our services are for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

Our site links to other websites, like LinkedIn, Facebook and Google Maps. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change is important, we will say so at the top of this page.
