Planner / Scheduler
We are currently seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler to join a well-established manufacturing company in the Tulsa area. This position is responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing priorities, and ensuring labor, equipment, and materials are aligned to keep production running efficiently and meet customer delivery commitments.
Job Description

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Typically 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Salary: $75,000–$83,000 annually, DOE
Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
• Review customer orders, forecasts, and production requirements to establish manufacturing priorities
• Coordinate production plans with manufacturing, purchasing, inventory control, engineering, and quality teams
• Monitor work orders and adjust schedules based on changing priorities, material shortages, equipment downtime, or staffing constraints
• Ensure materials, components, and resources are available to support production schedules
• Analyze production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks that could impact delivery
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Supply Chain to address critical material needs
• Track production KPIs, including on-time delivery, schedule adherence, inventory levels, and production efficiency
• Prepare reports related to production status, backlog, and capacity planning
• Participate in production meetings and communicate scheduling changes to appropriate teams
• Maintain accurate information within ERP/MRP systems and ensure work orders are released according to schedule
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to productivity, inventory control, and operational efficiency
• Assist with long-term production planning to support customer demand and company growth
Requirements / Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or supply chain management
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
• Willingness to work collaboratively and help wherever needed to keep production moving
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and proactively address challenges
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• APICS/ASCM certification, such as CPIM or CSCP
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles
• Knowledge of capacity planning and inventory management
• Experience scheduling fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, or other industrial manufacturing operations
• Ability to interpret production drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing workflows
