Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join their team. This position will primarily work in the warehouse, handling incoming and outgoing orders, stocking inventory, maintaining an organized workspace, and assisting with paint mixing.

Job Description

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, comfortable working with numbers, and takes pride in completing work accurately. Over time, this individual will learn the company's products and processes with the opportunity to cross-train and assist customers at the front counter.

Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $16–$20/hour DOE

Schedule Note: Saturdays will eventually be required once the employee has learned the product line and is trained to assist at the front counter. Saturday shifts will be front-counter/customer service work only — no warehouse work.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming orders and carefully verify products against vendor packing lists
  • Pull and verify outgoing customer orders with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Stock and rotate inventory using FIFO procedures
  • Keep products properly organized, labeled, and easy to locate
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse
  • Break down and organize boxes, remove trash, sweep, and maintain shelving
  • Mix paint according to specific database recipes and precise mixing ratios
  • Accurately read decimals and measurements when mixing products
  • Use careful hand-eye coordination when pouring toners, binders, and reducers
  • Complete additional warehouse duties as needed

The paint-mixing portion requires particularly strong precision, as the client's process involves strict ratios where even a fraction of a gram can affect color matching and waste material.

As You Learn the Business

Once trained on the company's products and processes, you'll begin cross-training to assist at the front counter. Responsibilities may include:

  • Greeting and assisting customers
  • Helping customers locate products
  • Providing professional and courteous customer service
  • Operating the cash register
  • Accurately processing cash, credit cards, checks, and account charges
  • Assisting with Saturday front-counter coverage

The client's description specifically notes that customer-facing responsibilities are intended to develop over time rather than being the primary focus initially.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Dependable attendance and reliability
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated
  • Comfortable with basic math and reading decimals
  • Good critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong verbal communication and customer-service skills
  • Honest, trustworthy, and professional
  • Willingness to learn the company's products and eventually work the front counter
  • Ability to work Saturdays once fully trained for front-counter responsibilities

The client also specifically identifies adaptability, self-motivation, communication, honesty, trustworthiness, reliability, and cash-handling ability among the desired proficiencies.
