Manual Machinist
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in the Tulsa area, is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join their first-shift team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience setting up and operating manual mills and lathes who is comfortable working independently from setup through machining.
Job Description
Pay: $25–$26/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Thursday
• 4:00 AM–2:30 PM or 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
• 30-minute lunch
• Overtime may be available and is typically worked on Fridays
Responsibilities
• Set up and operate manual horizontal and vertical mills and lathes
• Perform machine setups and adjustments for assigned work
• Machine parts accurately according to job requirements and specifications
• Safely handle materials and components throughout the machining process
• Utilize overhead cranes located at each machine when appropriate
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow established shop procedures
Requirements / Qualifications
• Previous hands-on experience operating manual mills and lathes required
• Experience performing your own machine setups required
• Experience with both horizontal and vertical manual machining equipment preferred
• Gantry or bridge mill experience is highly desired
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs when necessary
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Dependable work history and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Must provide your own steel-toe safety shoes
