We are seeking an experienced Code Welder to join a well-established Tulsa steel manufacturing operation. This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder looking for steady daytime hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to continue developing their skills with a major manufacturer.

Job Description

This position requires strong welding fundamentals, the ability to work from blueprints and specifications, and a commitment to producing consistent, high-quality welds. Candidates with Flux-Core (FCAW), Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), and heavy steel fabrication experience are strongly encouraged to apply.


Metatarsal safety boots are required.


Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM Friday | 6:00 AM–12:00 PM

Pay: $20–$28/hour DOE


All shop positions are considered Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality welding and fabrication on steel components and assemblies
  • Utilize Flux-Core (FCAW), Submerged Arc (SAW), and other applicable welding processes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, drawings, and specifications
  • Fit, position, and weld components according to required dimensions and tolerances
  • Calculate and verify material measurements throughout the fabrication process
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, penetration, consistency, and compliance with specifications
  • Identify and correct weld defects or fabrication issues as needed
  • Install, repair, or modify fabricated components and equipment
  • Safely operate welding equipment, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment
  • Follow established quality and safety procedures throughout the production process

Requirements / Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional welding experience
  • Experience with Flux-Core welding required
  • Must be able to pass a 3G uphill Flux-Core weld test
  • Submerged Arc Welding (SAW/Sub-Arc) experience strongly preferred
  • Carbon steel and heavy fabrication experience preferred
  • ASME certification or previous code welding experience is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
  • Strong understanding of welding tools, procedures, and quality standards
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the position
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to producing consistent, quality work
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience is a plus
