Rear Load CDL Driver
We are currently looking to fill a Rear Load CDL Driver position with a Tulsa-area waste management company. This is a physically active driving position for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working outdoors.
Job Description
Starting Pay: $21/hr
Truck: Automatic transmission - no manual driving required
Schedule: Monday–Saturday; hours may vary, with early start times possible. Generally 50+ hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an automatic rear-load commercial truck on assigned routes.
- Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain an on-time route schedule and accurately complete required paperwork.
- Identify and report mechanical, operational, or safety concerns.
- Navigate throughout Tulsa County and surrounding areas.
- Keep customer properties clear of trash and debris during collection.
- Perform physical duties throughout the route, including getting in and out of the truck, moving containers, lifting, climbing, bending, and cleaning debris from the truck/hopper.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and the public.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
- Minimum age of 25.
- At least 6 months of related experience or training.
- Ability to regularly lift and move 50–100 lbs.
- Comfortable with a physically demanding role and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable working around strong odors and on uneven or slippery surfaces.
- Dependable with strong attendance and a commitment to safety.
