Utility Driver
We are currently looking to fill a Utility Driver position with an established waste management company. This position primarily operates a small roll-off truck, delivers and retrieves tilt hoppers, and hauls drums while supporting daily delivery and service needs.
Job Description
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM; Saturdays as needed
Pay: $20-$21/hr
License: Valid Class B CDL required. Automatic transmission restrictions are acceptable.
Responsibilities
Operate a small roll-off truck to complete daily work orders and service requests.
Deliver, exchange, and retrieve tilt hoppers at customer locations.
Haul drums and complete scheduled drum routes.
Assist with container deliveries and other equipment support as needed.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns.
Maintain accurate paperwork and electronic service records.
Communicate with dispatch, operations, and customers regarding service updates.
Assist with yard organization and equipment staging.
Follow company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to safely maneuver trucks and equipment in tight spaces.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Prior waste industry, delivery, or equipment operation experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to enter and exit trucks frequently throughout the day.
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull materials as needed.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to bend, climb, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
