Diesel Mechanic
We are currently looking to fill a Diesel Mechanic position with an established company in Catoosa, OK. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, consistent hours, and excellent benefits once hired on.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing diesel trucks and heavy-duty vehicles and be comfortable working independently to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
Schedule: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Regular overtime, including 12-hour shifts and Saturdays, is required.
Pay: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy-duty vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete necessary repairs and adjustments
• Troubleshoot equipment to identify the source of mechanical problems
• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, tire repairs, and other routine maintenance
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Work alongside other technicians to complete preventative maintenance and repairs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and standards
Requirements / Qualifications
• Previous experience working on diesel trucks or heavy-duty vehicles
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and regularly stand, bend, stoop, and work in physically demanding conditions
• Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments when necessary
• Must have own tools
• Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
• Strong safety record
• CDL is a plus
