Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a Machine Operator position with a local manufacturer of concrete and steel lighting poles: the ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator in an industrial setting.  We are looking for dependable, self-starters who take initiative and can work with minimal supervision.

Shift: 1st, Monday – Friday
Hours: 5:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Overtime Mandatory
Starting Pay: $13 – $18 per hour, depending on experience

 

Machine Operator Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Able to set up and operate equipment per specifications;
  • Able to read and understand blueprints and instructions and ensure use of proper materials;
  • Good math and measurement skills and ability to use mics, calipers and other measurement tools;
  • Must be able to operate cranes. and manage rigging/hoists;
  • Experience with HMI and ability to change programs is a plus;
  • Able to complete basic mechanical preventative maintenance on pumps, air compressors, hydraulic and lubrication systems;
  • Willing to cross-train on multiple pieces of processing equipment;
  • Strong safety record.

Machine Operator Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with a good working knowledge of computers;
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and can work with minimal supervision;
  • Always works to ensure a safe & clean working environment.
Climate Controlled Facility: Mixed Work Environment
Safety Equipment Required: Steel-Toed Boots
Required Education Level: High School – GED, Trade or Welding school experience is a plus.
