The New York Times reports that a survey by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) said private companies in the US put women on 54.62 million job positions last month, which was at least 110,000 more than what was recorded in May 2013. In contrast, the tally of male employees in June pegged at 59.43 million, almost two million less than the high recorded for the same period six years ago.
